Your soul is about to reincarnate onto planet earth as a human being in the year 2020. Circumstances of life, such as your place of birth, race/ethnicity, sex/gender, parents et cetera, are random and unknown to you.
However, you have been informed by the divine council that you will be born absolutely healthy, but - due to bad karma from the past life - with one exception. You get the opportunity to choose between:

1. being born with only one fully functional arm (other arm is entirely missing).
2. being born with both arms, but with no thumbs respectively.

If you refuse to choose, you will be born with no arms at all.
What will you choose and why?

A while ago I was working on a little project regarding the intellectual capabilities of the human mind. And because this forum has rarely noticeable activity, and boredom had a critical hit on me at that particular day, I thought I will expand this topic to this forum for entertainment.

Obviously, this "test" wasn't supposed to be taken seriously since it's entirely made up and is not directly related to the common definition of IQ. The title is misleading in that regard. Mea culpa.

The question was intentionally formulated in a way, that it has:
1. no answer you could look up somewhere to provoke independent thought.
2. no apparent similarities to common real life issues to stimulate productive thinking instead of reproductive thinking.
3. no right, nor wrong answers to allow enough space for creative (and funny) solutions.

That said, I was curious which ideas would show up and which thought patterns would generate certain ideas. Mainly the thought patterns were of higher interest. But I have to admit, the question is considerably difficult to answer, which is probably one reason why no answers were given - as expected.

Maybe in the future I will give some examples to the different possible approaches to solving problems and generating new/creative ideas, based on the issue above.

Recently I stumbled upon this compilation of army recruitment videos. USA had me laughing for a while, but watch for yourself.



I don't speak Chinese, so I can't really tell what they are talking about, but it's most likely the same illogical gibberish and blatant propaganda followed by pretty pictures as the Russian ad.
However, by smashing feminism, diversity and homosexuality into one single video, USA managed to take it to another level. I can't even tell which foul propaganda is worse: this ad or the same nonsense in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
What has this world come to?

Omg ... the US one is a catastrophe ... this world becomes too soft ...

The Chinese one is simple: "Join the marines!" ,-)
