Wow, never seen this video before. It illustrates and represents all the atmosphere and flair Battlefield Vietnam stands for. By watching it i just wanna go back into the jungle.

Viewing this video, I wish it would be possible to perform a similar game play within the regular games. However - as we all know - this is almost impossible. Everybody is "in stress" killing and getting the flags. ;)

I once played a game with a group of players using the transport UH1 in a propper way. Means having the engineer, sniper, assault and heavy assault among the pilot of course on board. They were hard to kill (except with an assault chopper of course). But infantry had difficult times, they deployed themselves properly to the flags and repaired the chopper instantly. The common discussion about teamplay, ha ...

Yup, the guys recorded as usual out of the games but then had the capabilties to use professional studio technologies afterwards to cut, sample and sound the stuff.

The guys part of this vid are actually busy with this project on bf2 ... if you read it and follow the link to the Digital Warriors website you can learn more about if you like.

As well, here is the real background storyabout this video.

Quite funny stuff though ...

In my opinion the music is one of the basic successes of Battlefield Vietnam. That makes the trailers and at least the game interesting immediatley. I know no other game which uses real music for the ingame situations. That makes one of the big parts for the complete flair of the game. I just love it to fly/drive and listen to some good old music.
